Makueni law courts has given a 12 year jail term to Daudi Nzomo, the man who was captured on camera mercilessly battering his wife Evelyn
Mwende in Kyaaka village Kitonyini Sub-location Makueni County.

In his ruling, Makueni Magistrate James Mwaniki ordered that
Nzomo be jailed for ten years and the remaining two to be spent under probation.
The court was however told that Nzomo had previously
assaulted his wife back in 2013 when she objected to his proposal of marrying a
second wife.
Evelyn Mwende is currently undergoing treatment at the Nairobi
Women’s Hospital.
Nzomo was last week arrested after a video of him beating
his wife went viral on social media.
