Orange Democratic Movement on Wednesday made an official
statement of appointing Ochillo Oyacko to run for Migori Senatorial seat. All
participants who were earlier interested in the seat stepped aside in order to
pave way for Dr. Oyacko.

Speaking today outside Orange House where all contestants
were assembled, ODM party leader Raila Odinga said that they had made extensive
consultation amongst its members and quite a number of prominent members had
offered themselves for the position but they decided to settle for Oyacko.
The coming by-election is scheduled for 8th
October 2018. This follows the death of the former Senator Ben Okello Oluoch.
Oluoch succumbed to cancer in June.
